An envelope containing a letter of appointment of Henry Keswick M.P. by Robert William Buchanan Jardine, Baronet, of Castlemilk, N.B., Governing Director of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd, as the company's Senior Managing Director, 15 July 1912; a letter of appointment of Charles Henderson Ross by Henry Keswick as Manager of Jardine Matheson's company in London, 30 September 1914; and a letter of appointment of Ross by Keswick as his substitute for all the purposes set out in a power of attorney of 5 September 1912 made by Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd, 30 September 1914. There is a covering letter from W.H. Leese to Ross enclosing the second and third documents, 6 October 1914.
