Content and context

A duplicate of a power of attorney granted by Olyphant's Sons of New York to Frederick A. Bokee, formerly of Philadelphia, and D. Olyphant Vail to collect money owed to the firm, dated New York, 21 November 1856, with a certificate of the U.S. Consul, Hong Kong, 5 June 1857, attesting that this is a correct copy of the original document.
