The documents are in English and Portuguese, and include memoranda regarding weights and shipments of merchandise, including silk and opium; a memorandum of money collected on account of Thomas Hunt; a memorandum of advances to Captain Anderson; memoranda regarding teas from Margesson & Co., including particulars of musters and a statement of the comparative export of scented teas from Canton for the seasons 1869-1871; a memorandum for [James] Matheson regarding the Whampoa hospital accounts, from William Jardine, Macao, 1839; a memorandum from B. Barretto; a memorandum regarding shipping charges on alum; an account from Camillo Souza of Mr Bramston's house at Santo Antonio, Macao; a copy of a memorandum deposited with Jardine, Matheson & Co. of Canton, regarding arrangements to be made on behalf of A. Pearson in favour of Roza Maria Viera of Macao; and a circular regarding a project for a school in Macao, c. 1861. The documents include reference to L. d'Almeida; E.
