John Austin of Shefford sells to William Barber of Exeter certain land in Shefford for the term of one year at a peppercorn rent, in order that William Barber, being in possession may be able to accept a release. Witnesses: Joseph Cole, Charles Cole. One seal is attached.

2 Release/indenture, Shefford, Bedfordshire. John Austin of Shefford releases to William Barber of Exeter certain land in Shefford of which he is in possession by indenture of lease [Doc 216(1)] dated the previous day, to him and his heirs to the use of him and his heirs for ever. Witnesses: Joseph Cole, Charles Cole. On the back is a receipt for the consideration money signed by John Austin. Witnesses: the same. One seal is attached.
