Jacob Mott of Cambridge sells to John Amps of Cambridge certain premises in New Zealand, Barnwell, for the term of one year at a peppercorn rent that John Amps might be able to take a release. Witnesses: Frederick Randall, Nathaniel Lyon. One seal is attached.

2 Lease and release, Cambridge, St Andrew the Less. Whereas by Indentures dated 28 and 29 March 1822 certain premises in New Zealand, Barnwell, were appointed and reconveyed to Jacob Mott of Cambridge to the use of any such person as he should appoint, with remainder to the use of Jacob Mott for life, with remainder to the use of George Titus Whiteley during the life of Jacob Mott, with remainder to the use of Jacob Mott and his heirs for ever; and whereas Jacob Mott has agreed with John Amps for the sale of the premises; Jacob Mott appoints and releases the premises in question to John Amps of Cambridge to any use to which John Amps shall appoint, in default of appointment to the use of John Amps for life, afterwards to the use of Robert Gee of Cambridge and his heirs during the life of John Amps in trust for the use of John Amps for life and afterwards to the use of his heirs for ever. Witnesses: the same. On the back is a receipt signed by Jacob Mott. Witnesses: the same. One seal is attached.
