Items 1-7 in this series are titled by the type concerned. Each folder includes a typescript description of the type probably by Ingham, ca. 1954.

1 Tory-Garamond. Typescript captioned 'The Tory-Garamond type', with stock proofs of the 8-, 10- and 12-point roman and italic. These are marked 'Garamont'.

2 Norstedt. Typescript captioned 'The Norstedt type used in Fanfare Noteheading'. With this are stock proofs of the 8- and 12-point roman and italic founts.

3 Perpetua roman. Typescript captioned 'Perpetua roman', with various proofs. One is marked by Ingham 'Early proof of the type from punches cut in France 1926'.

4 Tempest. Typescript captioned 'Tempest', with Monotype trial proofs of 48 and 60 point and ornaments made by Berthold Wolpe at the same time (Feb.-May 1936; Tempest was Monotype series 445). With these is a proof of all the letters in 60 point.

5 Cyclone. Folder 1 = typescript captioned 'Cyclone'; Monotype trial proofs of 18 36 42 60 point (Jan.-June 1939; Cyclone was then known as 'Fanfare Bold Condensed Italic Titling no. 2, series 445). Folder 2 = correspondence between Ingham and George Westover and Stanley Morison about making the matrices (1938-1939). Folder 3 = application to register the design with the Patent Office, including photographs of the Monotype display matrices, and reply rejecting the application (1939 and a cover sheet, 1954).

6 Festival. Typescript memoranda, progressive drawings, Monotype trials and proofs of the fount, laced into a cover, labelled on spine 'Festival type - memorandum and record'. With this are other typescript memoranda and a letter from the Monotype Corporation (Beatrice Warde) about the type dated 15 Nov. 1951.
