Inscription on front flyleaf: 'This book, begun in April 1938, is intended to be a record of all the various escapades of the Rampant Lions ' The principal contents are: diary entry for 14 May 1938 -- sales and distribution records for each title published, 1938-1962 -- 'Sales and bought ledger January 1939', 1939-1941 -- 'Books printed by Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lions Press, Cambridge', 1954-1961 or 1962.
