Content and context

With the correspondence are several envelopes addressed in Morison's hand to Pollard (the earliest 1919); a tear-sheet from the Post Office Magazine, May 1936; a letter from Frank Francis to Pollard (8 Dec. 1941); a typescript biography of Pollard (Feb. 1942); and a poster for lectures by Pollard at London University (May 1960) with a printed invitation to the first lecture.

Also with these are a letter from Morison to Brooke Crutchley conveying his correspondence with Pollard to the University Press, and Crutchley's reply (Dec. 1953); and a memorandum from Crutchley about these papers (Aug. 1970).

The earliest letters (in the envelope) were among papers of Nicolas Barker (ex Graham Pollard) accessioned in Jan. 2012.

Correspondence from all sources is interfiled.
