Books 1-2 of Barba's Spanish original were translated into English and published as: "The Art of Metals In which is Declared the manner Of Their Generation And The Concomitants Of Them," trans. Edward Montagu, Earl of Sandwich (London: Samuel Mearne, 1670. ) This MS appears to be an unpublished English version of books 3-5. It is prefaced by summaries of books 1-2 taken from the Montagu translation. Unknown hand - the moderately frequent corrections suggest it is perhaps autograph.
