Content and context

English translation of letter originally written between 1564 and 1572. The original cover appears to have been directed to Daniel Wigmore (d. 1646).

Presumably belonged to Samuel Knight DD, prebend of Ely and rector of Bluntisham, Hunts (d. 1746). Later descended to John Percy Baumgartner of Milton, Cambs., who presented it to the Library in 1861.
