The volume begins at Hong Kong on 21 March 1883 and concludes at Sulu Island on 9 May 1883. The first page of the notebook contains a list of letters addressed by Guillemard at the following places: Hong Kong (21 March); Sandakan (7 and 16 April); Sulu Island (23 April); and Sulu via Manila (6 May). This is followed by a list of places visited: Lamery (Lemery), Philippine Islands (25 March); Cagayan Sulu (1 April); Sandakan (8 April); Sandakan (15 April); Meimbun, Sulu Island (22 April); Tiangi, Sulu Island (29 April); Tiangi (6 May); and Tiangi (13 May). There is a note in Spanish in the inside pocket of the volume regarding the 'Marchesa'. |
