Maria Susannah Grey (d.1859), granddaughter of the 1st Earl Grey.

The correspondents include her mother Maria Grey (née Shirreff) (21 letters); aunt Eliza Shirreff ('Goody') (17); sister Emily (Mrs. Duberly) (25); brothers Capt. Charles C. Grey, Royal Navy (40) and William T. Grey (27); cousins Maria Georgina (Mrs. W.T. Grey) (23) and Emily A.E. Shirreff (17); cousin Charlotte Grey (afterward Mrs. Wilson) (5); Eugénia, Marquesa das Minas (née de Souza, daughter of the 1st Duke of Palmela) (17); and Theodosia, Lady Monson (3).

With the above are 16 further letters, all but one addressed to Major M.R.W. Duberly, and a pedigree with notes, relating to the genealogy of the Shirreff and allied familes, 1924-50.
