Harriet Susan Minty married William Hallowes Miller, mineralogist, in 1844. The couple made intermittent visits to the continent, sometimes for William's scientitic work, but also for extended holidays.

Journal by Harriet Miller of tours on the continent with her husband, Professor W.H. Miller, 1856 and later.
