Content and context

Hugh Stanley Wilson (d. 1915), son of the Venerable Archdeacon James Maurice Wilson, attended Clifton School, before entering King's College, Cambridge, in 1904 (B.A., 1907; M.A., 1912). After completing his studies he taught in schools in France, before becoming Master at Rugby. He joined the Worcestershire Regiment at the outbreak of the Second World War, and was killed in action on 15 September 1915.
