Albrecht W.J. Wachler, theologian, studied at Breslau.

Friedrich Heinrich Wilhelm Gesenius (1786-1842), German orientalist and Bible scholar, was born at Nordhausen, Hanover, on 3 February 1786, and studied at Helmstadt and Göttingen. He became professor of theology at Halle in 1811. Gesenius produced Hebrew grammars, lexicons and commentaries. He died at Halle on 23 October 1842.
