Pasquale Cicogna (d. 1595), Doge of Venice, 1585-1595. During his term of office Cicogna quarrelled frequently with Pope Clement VIII over issues of jurisdiction and religious policy.

Written in three hands, 184 folios: (fo. 2) 1st hand: commission by the Doge Pasquale Cicogna to Andrea Damula of the governorship of Vicenza, with copies of documents relating to Vicenza, 31 March 1536 - 2 March 1596, endorsed 'Giulio Lamberti secretario'; (fo. 170) 2nd hand: copy of an additional document, 30 July 1503, endorsed by Jacobus Fabritius; (fo. 172) 3rd hand: note, endorsed 'Agtni Sptti'; (fo. 175) 1st hand resumed: index. The original first leaf is torn away and has been replaced by a vellum leaf on which the beginning has been transcribed in a later, possibly 18th century hand. Inside the front cover is the bookplate of Samuel Sandars.

Samuel Sandars purchased the volume from Bernard Quaritch, 1889. He bequesthed it to the Library in 1894.
