MS Add.347 Notes made with a view to the publication of a Hebrew Grammar. References to W. Gesenius' Lehrgebaüde der Heb. Sprache, Leipzig, 1817, occur from time to time with quotations, and occasional references are made to articles in periodicals. Hupfeld published the first section of his Ausführliche Heb. Gram., Cassel, 1841, but no further part appeared.

MS Add.348 Notes on the history, relationship and grammar of the Hebrew language, the literature of the Old Testament, and Semitic liberature to modern times. Consecutive philological treatise in ten sections, re Hebrew grammar from the earliest times to 18th cent., is followed by misc. rough notes, among them section entitled 'Fundamentale hebraicum', which contains treatise in another hand. The notes may have formed the basis of Hupfeld's lectures.
