Content and context

Mortgage indenture between Torrell Joslyne esq, of Moynes Hall, Hallywell [Holywell], Huntingdonshire, and Sir John Jacob Kt, of London. The manor and parsonage of Oakington were leased to Joslyne by Queens' College, Cambridge, in 1640. Joslyne now mortgages same to Jacob for £1392.
