Journal or series of religious memoranda, possibly the work of a Quaker lady connected to Joseph Woods

Title Journal or series of religious memoranda, possibly the work of a Quaker lady connected to Joseph Woods
Reference GBR/0012/MS Add.2699-2701
Covering Dates 1786–1818
Extent and Medium 3 volumes
Repository Cambridge University Library, Department of Manuscripts and University Archives
Content and context

Assuming Add. 2699-2701 to have been received by the Library at the same time as Add. 2702 and 2703, the writer was probably a relative, perhaps an aunt, of Joseph Woods, architect and botanist, and a Quaker. One entry is dated 'Newington' (2699, p. 98), and another 'G. Yd.' (2701, p. 73). Woods was a native of Stoke Newington, and first practised at 8 George Yard, Lombard Street.

Found in Library, 1913.
