Content and context

Collection of references to the works of patristic and later theologians, arranged under Biblical and theological headings and sub-headings, with an index. The majority of sub-headings carry no reference. With additional commonplace material.

Probably passed on Patrick's death to his brother, Simon Patrick, bishop of Ely. Belonged to Samuel Knight DD, prebend of Ely (d1746), from whom it descended to J. P. Baumgartner of Milton Hall, Cambridge, who presented it to the Library in 1861.
